Histology
Histopathology is the diagnosis and study of diseases of the tissues, and involves examining tissues and/or cells under a microscope.
Specimens received by laboratory require tissue preparation then are treated and analysed using techniques appropriate to the type of tissue and the investigation required. A histopathology report describes the examinec tissue and the features of what the cancer looks like under the microscope. This report is sometimes called a biopsy report.
