We perform a wide variety of hematology testing on whole blood, serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluids and other body fluids. Hematology tests include laboratory assessments of blood formation and blood disorders.

Standard consultative diagnostics in the Hematology Laboratory include:

• analysis of blood smears and  examination of body fluids
• directed blood screening for parasites,
• laboratory evaluation of coagulopathies and hypercoagulability,
• identification of abnormal hemoglobins/thalassemia,
• cytochemistries on blood and bone marrow,
• hereditary spherocytosis; chronic lead poisoning; and sickle cell disease.
